2021 Firesteed Pinot Noir Eola-Amity Hills

Tasting Notes:

The Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir is garnet in color. The nose shows dark fruits followed by hints of vanilla and cola and a subtle savory component. The palate brings a silky-smooth mouthfeel and is sleek with subtle tannins. Red fruit leads on the palate, including dried cranberry and red cherry, with a subtle herbal note and a lingering finish.

Vineyard Notes:

Adjacent to the Willamette River are the rolling Eola Hills where over 1,300 acres of various grape varietals are planted, and most notably, Pinot Noir. The two predominant influences on the characteristics of wines from this region are the shallow alluvial soils, creating small grapes with great concentration, and the Van Duzer Corridor, providing cool ocean winds that flow and dramatically decrease temperatures to keep acids firm.
