Citation Oregon Pinot Noir
The finest Pinot Noir we offer, Citation Oregon is created by looking beyond limiting local geographic boundaries to attain the highest quality possible. After scouring the farthest reaches of the state and our own vineyards and valley, the most promising vineyard blocks were selected and fermented in small vessels. Punched-down twice a day by hand, the wine was gently pressed to French oak barrels to age for the next sixteen months. Careful selection of the best barrels produced a small quantity of deep, darkly-colored, luscious Pinot Noir.
Bottle-aged eight years before release, the 2004 Citation Pinot Noir has developed the complexity only achieved with great patience and proven to be a truly world-class wine.
Garnet in color, its aromas of raspberry, star anise, clove, walnut oil & pipe tobacco precede rich, mouth filling flavors of black cherry and vanilla as faint echoes of oak still linger on the finish.
