Firesteed 2007 Oregon Pinot Gris Reviews

($12) Since 1993, Firesteed has produced its wine at Flynn Vineyards which Firesteed purchased in 2003.  This wine,    made of grapes from several vineyards in both the Willamette and Rogue Valleys, has a gorgeous, pure nose with ripe  peaches, apricot and tropical notes with a touch of green herb that  adds depth.  The tangy, citrusy palate is straight-forward.  Well balanced with a lengthy finish.  Great value.

San Francisco Chronicle Wine Selections, Lynne Char Bennett  Friday, September 5, 2008

35 Oregon Pinot Gris were tasting - Firesteed ranked #1!

A nice, meaty mollusk like the scallop deserves a wine with as much personality. This Pinot Gris (Pinot Grigio if you're Italian) from Oregon has a rich, full-figured flavour with a crisp touch of green fruit and acidity that will make it a perfect partner for the dish.
